Girls on the Go founder, Erin Brenton, has started an alliance with the Town of Pembroke by offering Girls on the Go, a local walking and running group that is very popular in Kingston, now in Pembroke.
In 1982, while delivering Camp Fire items on Birch Street in Pembroke, Brenton was run down with her six-year-old sister Heather by a 17-year-old underage drunk driver. As a result of that crash Heather was killed and Brenton suffered significant left leg and head trauma.
Girls on the Go, offers a Running/Walking group from the Pembroke Rec. at 9:30 a.m. on Friday mornings but also has an array of FAB Fitness classes too. Certified instructors teach all these classes.
